The Altstadt Vienna is a small, private 4-star hotel with 42 non-smoking rooms and suites in a renovated historical building in the Spittelberg quarter, only a few steps from the major museums and the Ringstrasse. The English-style Red Salon serves a superb breakfast buffet and a bar where our guests can relax on comfortable sofas next to the open fireplace. In the afternoon we serve complimentary tea and cake for our guests. All rooms and suites are individually decorated, presenting an excellent blend of modern conveniences and traditional Viennese style. Individual attention and first-class service is of the utmost importance to us. The Mariahilfer Strasse, Vienna’s most popular shopping street, is only 5 minutes away. The hotel’s 42 rooms and suites, part of a grand Viennese apartment block, are spread out across 5 floors and are all individually decorated. They are stylish, large and comfortable, decorated in classic and chic colours with exclusive light fixtures, highest quality furnishings, luxurious materials and textiles. In 2006 renowned Italian architect Matteo Thun redesigned 9 extraordinary rooms, choosing a “belle époque” elegance that reflects an excitingly modern design with a reference to Vienna's splendid historical past. The hotel is situated in a surprisingly quiet area, only a 5-minute walk from the next underground station. You can reach the world-famous Ringstrasse and the Museum Quarter in only 5 to 10 minutes. Vienna's largest shopping street - the Mariahilfer Strasse - and a variety of restaurants are also within walking distance of the hotel.TRAVEL INFORMATION
We can organise a pick-up service from the airport for you (at an additional cost). Please let us know your departure destination, your arrival time and date as well as your flight number. By public transport: Every 20 to 30 minutes there are buses, trains (S7) or the CAT (City Airport Train) leaving to the City Air Terminal "Wien-Mitte" and taking between 16 (CAT) and 30 minutes. From "Wien-Mitte" take the underground line U3 (direction "Ottakring") to "Volkstheater". Take the exit "Burggasse" and follow "Burggasse" for about 5 to 7 minutes.
